This makes a decent display on a VGA monitor with DisplayPort out, but I don't want to use it all the time. Colors were washed out compared to using the same monitor with a direct VGA and DVI connection or with an HDMI to VGA adapter. Also, there were some weird horizontal lines where the same colors were noticeably different above and below the transition line on the display when using this adapter. So it's fine if you occasionally need to briefly connect a DisplayPort to a VGA monitor, but if you're staring at it all day you'll probably need something else.
