WD 1TB Red USB 3.0 My Passport Portable External Hard Drive (WDBYNN0010BRD-WESN) A few things to note about this drive: this drive, for everyone Computers you connect it to will need administrative privileges to access the drive, since the WD drive unlock software requires administrative privileges to run and decrypt the drive. 2. - If the drive is encrypted you will not be able to use it on Chrome OS/your Chromebook as the WD Drive Unlock software is a Windows program which in turn needs administrator privileges to decrypt the drive. If you don't like dirty looking drives, this isn't for you. 4. - The software allows you to set up a trusted computer so you don't have to enter a password when connecting. This doesn't always work. Sometimes you need to run the WD drive unlock utility and enter the password to unlock the drive when connecting to a trusted computer. Despite these few things, this is a good drive for the money. I bought the red drive which looks nice and the cable is well made in the matching color. You can also turn the LED on and off with the included software. I bought a RevainBasics hard case for My Passport Essential to carry the drive around and it fits perfectly, of course I have the 1TB version which is thinner than the high capacity drive but should also fit in it. I had no issues with this drive and would recommend it if you know what you are getting into, this is the drive. Some of the points I mentioned don't apply to those who don't encrypt the disk.
