I used a bluetooth cassette adapter in a 2002 Mercedes because there was a general belief on the internet that these FM stations weren't that good. I didn't want to do without a great head unit! Boy they were wrong. I live in a metropolitan area and it was easy for me to pick a station away from other signals with no noticeable noise or interference. It recognizes my phone as soon as I get in the car. The mic works well and I like that I can plug my phone into the console and still get calls. My wife says it sounds a lot cleaner than calling from the phone itself (on the speakerphone). The other cassette adapter device transmits audio but does not make hands-free calls. I also bought the 'upgraded' version first and used it in another car (Lexus R350) as the flex neck is a little more annoying in a smaller car due to the location of the PSU. This one works just as well as far as I can tell and is more compact. I use the USB ports to charge my phone and other accessories with no issues. At this price all children/grandchildren get it as a stocking filler for Christmas. Then maybe they'll take the tip and call more often!
