I've only had it a week or two but it works great for what I wanted. The hinges and springs easily hold my iPhone XS Max in the air. Haven't tried it with an iPad yet and probably won't as it won't be needed, but I'm sure it will hold the weight. Plenty of room in the jaw to attach to a thick table. Some reviews have said the plastic clip breaks, sometimes on the first day of ownership, but mine is still intact. The shutter keychain that comes with it is very handy and I've used it for both photos and videos to take pictures from above and it's perfect for this application. The only complaint right now is that the trigger keychain, which connects via bluetooth, doesn't allow me to use my phone's keypad to type anything until it's disabled. Not that big of a deal since it has a switch and reconnects after 1 or 2 seconds when you turn it back on.
