Review on 🔥 Optimized Micro Swiss Hotend for Creality CR 10S by James Dominick

I was very concerned about the switch as I still use PLA and PETG quite a bit. I figured I'd have to wait until I got another printer to install one with an all-metal hot end and keep another stock for PLA and PETG, but I was dead wrong. Very happy with this product. I've had a clog or two, but without the Capricorn tubing going through the cooling block, one can simply remove the tubing and use nylon cord to remove the blockage with a hot pull. Again, traffic jams happen NOWHERE as often as many reviews had me fearing before I bought this. The only thing I recommend is that you play with the heat settings yourself. They recommend increasing the temperature by about 5-10 degrees after this switch, but I've found my materials perform better with 5 degrees less. They become much cleaner and blend very well. Not sure if it's just my hot end being a little hot, but I haven't had a congestion since lowering the temp. Also, a very important part of this is withdrawing. Be sure to decrease the backfeed as well as change the backback speed and restart distance (the distance at which the printer starts after backback). There is no such thing as a perfect setting, you just need to tinker a little. This will make your life a lot easier by ensuring that you don't end up with a bunch of clutter and that your prints look clean and tidy without overwhelming yourself.
