New Balance makes and tracks shoes in USA. These Oversees versions are much less comfortable than the US-made versions. They finally broke within a month and are now more or less comparable to the more expensive versions, but not as soft or "tight". I would spend the extra money next time to get a better version from the US. LOOK AT THE LABEL ON THE BACK OF THE SHOES AND ON THE BOTTOM OF THE TONGUE. You'll notice the difference between the cheaper and more expensive variants that's easy to tell apart (the tag on the tongue says 'Malaysia' and 'New Balance' is printed on the trailing hem rather than a separate piece of leather).
