Good workmanship, normal speed

This Alxum CFexpress card reader has a great aluminum body, decent accessories included, but lacks performance. USB 3.1 Gen 2 is said to offer a maximum read speed of 1,250 MB/s, which in this case is about half that. I was using a Pergear CFexpress Type B card which can read at 1200MB/s when connected to a Thunderbolt 3 port on my laptop. Be honest. Recommended.
