Review on Sorbus Clothes Mounted Space Saver Organization by Alisha Powell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product but a few installation errors.

Product comes with two sets of fasteners: medium dowel anchors for drywall and #8 wood screws for wood studs. Of course you choose one or the other. Installation is trivially easy if you use drywall anchors with bolts. I choose pens. The spacing between the mounting holes on the sides is approximately 31.75 inches, which is close enough to a multiple of 16 inches that *IF* the wood frame within the wall was done correctly and on 16 inch centers (which is standard). should be able to handle bolt to bolt attachment. Of course, whenever you have a choice, you should install something that hangs things on studs. Unfortunately, the position of the holes in the mounting plates narrows the space quite a bit, and it's difficult to manually drive the screw through the pins in this cramped space. I can't get a drill in to use it. So you either have to have some fancy power tools or you definitely need a very long Phillips screwdriver (at least 12 inches, which I didn't have, so I had to fake it) and a bit of patience to even loosen two of the four screws when you got the bolt predrilled with guide holes. (The bottom two screws become accessible once you open the accordion). So aside from some sore forearms, we're in business. Short version: with anchors / tumbler screws? No problem. screw in bolts? Doable, but you'll need patience, some long tools, or maybe both. From a "pull out of the wall" point of view, this is impossible. The bars in the rack will bend/break long before you can apply enough force to pull it out of the wall, even if it's fully extended.
