Very disappointed. The crib was broken in three places and the figures were crude and unfinished. Buy another set.

The staff was missing a ball at the top. They just looked like sticks and didn't fit Joseph and the shepherd's hands. All parts were light except Mary and her face was completely dark. Couldn't see the definition of her face. Loved out of place. Returned. Too much money not to be perfect.

Item was carefully packed in a cardboard box. The newspaper plastered the box with the product. Revain then packed the product box into a large shipping carton along with other items I had purchased. Perfect. No damage. I visited the Holy Land in 1981 and have always wanted an olive tree Christmas set. Woman asked for a birthday present. Now we finally have one. Nice.

Baby Jesus arrived broken, had to glue it back together. I love that the figurines are handmade, but the baby Jesus also looks like a tiny bearded man in the carved print. The whole nativity scene looks great, but they didn't glue well and you can see blobs of wood glue sticking out in many places.

The necks and backs of both figures had 1/4 inch pits. The paint was poorly applied, there were paint blisters on the figures. The nativity scene had an angel carved from the back rather than the massive body shown. The crib is actually broken, split in two with a tear on the back. The animals were mangled and looked like they had been severely ground at the base at a dramatic angle. I returned it for a full refund.

They are beautifully made but the packaging was TERRIBLE. The item arrived broken and a few other loose parts broke after we installed it. The glue used was very cheap and didn't stick well. I fixed one part and the other fell off. Also, the holes drilled in the characters' hands holding the staves weren't big enough or pointed in the right direction to be pushed through easily. One of them is completely wrong. If they spent a few more minutes wrapping it properly and improved the glue used…

The reason I chose this particular product was because my wife was visiting the Holy Land and wished she had bought an olive tree Christmas set. The characters are exactly how I imagined them. Each has a full-size face, folded arms, and other intricate carvings that set them apart from other items. My mother-in-law even noticed that Joseph's eyes sparkled (which tickled my wife).
