Review on Wireless LED Under-Cabinet Track Light: Rite Lite LPL704 - Medium Size, Battery-Operated by Roosevelt Weaver

Ideal solution for kitchen cupboards

Huge old Victorian house with 12m ceiling height for rent. There is one light bulb in the kitchen, a round fluorescent lamp waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa on the ceiling, the light of which is so faintly cool and brown that the prison dining room seems attractive by comparison. Instead of reinventing the wheel and redesigning the kitchen to create a satisfying atmosphere, I create "local lighting" in the kitchen. I have 2 tall cabinets above my kitchen sink and when I use the worktop or sink below it in the evening it's like I'm working in the dark. When I first moved I bought a RiteLite as an experiment to see how it performed for the area in question. After a week of use I ordered a second RiteLite - so I have 1 set for each cabinet. Wow! I love it. There are 4 adjustable spotlights in each set and the light they give off (also dimmable!) is perfect for my needs. Since I don't rely on these little guys to light the kitchen, only to light up a small area, I have no complaints about the type or amount of light they put out. That's a cool white-blue light that's good for washing dishes, chopping vegetables, or serving dishes. No complaints about the batteries "drying out" in a matter of days as they are only used for specific tasks. I've had one for 3 months, use it every night and it still works. My only problem, hence 4 stars instead of 5, was installing them. Of course, it could just be my lack of drilling skills. There was no point in attaching something like this with velcro, so I used screws to install it under the cabinet. After a lot of swearing, stopping and starting the drill, and using a nail hammered under the cabinets to make starting holes, I finally got them out. It wasn't fun, the screws are tiny and it probably took longer than necessary, but they're on top and I doubt the lantern will fall off anytime soon. Summary: If you use these lights properly, do not use velcro to attach them. , and ask an experienced person to insert the screws, you have a great solution for illuminating dark spots.
