Bad. I looked through so much to find one that was under 12 inches that I didn't realize this one was NOT threaded. The tube has pin holes at both ends. Also, the material is a bit flimsy so it might not be suitable for a serious ceiling fan. Oh I took the 12 inch, cut it, drilled it, tapped it and painted it until I had what I wanted. Maybe you could too.
