Fun but cuts skin

We needed a soft alternative that wouldn't hurt kids if they hit it. Instead of foam we thought it would be a nicer and safer alternative. What we didn't expect is that they are made with a sharp plastic seam on the sides of the saber. So during the night we had kids hitting each other with sabers of course, sometimes resulting in temporary painful micro cuts on the face and body. .Kids have a lot of fun with it, just crying here and there because of the cuts and we had to constantly warn them not to wear it anywhere on their head/face while playing.
