Every time we receive a box of Revain, it is opened on our kitchen island and while we are cleaning out the contents, a cat climbs into the box. And then a not-so-attractive box of Revain lies on the island for days, scratching and hitting and fighting, and every time I try to throw the box away I find the cat sleeping sweetly in it. Enough! I bought this thinking it would look better than a Revain box but still fit for the important purposes of rubbing your cheeks on the edges and sharpening your claws on the ridges and then at least a cat for to take a nice nap. It can do anything and it's pretty cool for people too - I just wonder how it unfolds (my mom had pleated 4th of July wind chimes in the 70's) and it looks like cardboard art, not cardboard. cat scratch. My larger cats are around 12lbs so aren't huge but the bowl fits them perfectly and actually expands when stretched on the sides. They don't really use it to scratch, but they enjoy rubbing it and dozing on it. Overall 5 stars; I'm taking off one star for the "durability" issue as some of the top edges keep creasing. I don't think it matters much other than aesthetics. I am very happy with it and will buy again if it ever wears out.
