These scissors will make you want to bring out your inner zen or vice versa drive you a little crazy. You can't just "cut, cut, cut" with them. If you are cutting into a standard size sheet of paper, you will need to turn the paper over to start the second cut on the other side. You can't just cut, then insert the scissors into the cut and cut again - it gets stuck. Oooooh. since i only bought them to shred where my address/info shows up in the daily junk, i had to be patient and first rip the junk into small pieces and then secondly use these scissors to shred those smaller sections. A pair of scissors really works for this. They are not good for more than one sheet at a time, nor for "quick shredding". Therefore, they are of limited use in this capacity. Basically I would monitor spam daily because I don't want to be faced with a big pile of stuff that needs to be destroyed all at once - too frustrating. Would I buy them again? Maybe, maybe not. That's really all I can think of - if I could give 2 1/2 stars I would because I'm feeling low. They'll get the job done, so it's probably just the scissor mechanics that require a slower approach. If I'm not in a hurry, having a bad day or tired, I would say they are fine. That's way too much analysis for one shredding product - LOL! If you need something like this and are willing to slow down enough to complete the above process and your grinding needs are limited, go for it. i use mine I just want all this junk mail gone!
