I've been eyeing automatic hair curlers for a while. I highly recommend practicing with a piece of string or cotton yarn over low heat. I didn't and caught my hair in the curling iron three times. I also caught a piece of rope. I turned off the device and used the end of the comb to try to get the hair out of the device. You must hold the wand straight and not hold it on its side. I also highly recommend watching a video on how to do this as the instructional image can cause some confusion. I was also a bit confused when I was learning, even though I was doing it right. Real curls are obtained instantly and very beautifully. You may be worthy of some. However, I have never had my hair tangled in a standard curling iron. It takes me a little longer than a regular curling iron because I need less hair. The battery also discharges very quickly. I have about half an hour curling time. It would be nice if there was a wired option so it doesn't drip. I'll keep testing curlers, but I don't like my hair getting tangled. Practice will help, but when I make a mistake, I don't like that I can't comb my hair easily. It would be nice if it had a protective cap that could pop open if the user made a mistake so they could detangle their hair. I've also found that the settings aren't saved and I have to switch the temperature, F or C, left or right curl, and time each time I use it. If you're experienced and don't mind half an hour of run time, this is a very nice looking device that makes beautiful curls when done right. Update: I've learned how to use this device more efficiently and connected to the network. I like it now but there are some considerations to take into account before ordering. Latest latest update. There is a small groove inside the device that got my hair caught in it despite using it properly. This is where the record or the piece comes in. It's very small but got terribly tangled in my hair and I almost couldn't get it out. I don't think I'll be using this anymore as it wasn't user error like it was with my first few entanglements.
