So I currently have an MBP mid 2012 (MacBook Pro) and need an SSD + more memory. Given how expensive a 1TB SSD is, I can't get another one right now (yes, I have one in my HP. Love it.). So I set up the Sata 1TB as my home file directory while OS X is on the SSD. I used to have a 7mm model that I was very dissatisfied with. (That's why this one only got 4 stars.) But this one didn't work in any shape or form. So far as a smaller copy of it, which I was really looking forward to. I'm very surprised at how quick it was with the initial setup I had to deal with, as well as the first boot into OS X, which did a pretty good job. But mainly used for storage. Thanks to WD for a cheaper alternative to a 1TB SSD.
