Great attachment point

This thing is way stronger than I expected. I mounted my monitor on top and secured it to the wire frame by clipping a piece of wood into the clamp area. Of course, if something happens, the rack wires are the only part that can fail. The whole block took my twist and wouldn't have held it if it wasn't thick, I have a lot of above average strength and I have a mechanical-electric grip and forearm. I also had to undo and drag the up/down slider a few times to adjust the monitor. This particular part requires a lot of force to be fully tightened. So if you're not strong, you might need some help, especially if you're doing this with a monitor already connected like me. I bought a set of HP quick release skewers to use on a 24" monitor here and the item was also very durable and worked great with it. I wouldn't use any type of mount like this without a quick release mount and you'll find out why when you don't have one and are trying to mount a monitor on it after it's on the wall or something ( mine is hanging in front of a wire rack above mine 32" TV monitor). I would have no hesitation in using it as a desk clamp too. You won't accidentally knock it over if installed properly and securely. This time I'm pleasantly surprised with the product. It's much thicker, than it appears in all aspects I have no hesitation in recommending this stand.
