This skirt fully corresponds to the description. I bought this because I wanted a skirt that covered my knees and was comfortable around the waist. If you are pregnant or have a lot of weight around your waist or are uncomfortable with a tight waistband, this skirt will be comfortable. Me, 5ft 5in and 140 pounds, with most of my weight on my midsection. In fact, I found the medium a bit too big and doesn't shrink because it's not cotton. In any case, it will become more elastic over time. This is a very thin and light soft rayon. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I think the fabric could be a bit more durable. This is a very casual skirt - for a very young woman it might be suitable for the office or church etc but I'm in my 40's and find it a bit sloppy.
