Review on Magic Spreadsheet by Deon Sweeney

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is a simple tool that allows you to collect data from your website visitors.

The idea of automatic data collection is pretty great, but in practice, this kind of service tends to be either unreliable or expensive. What made this particular solution stand out was that they got rid of the expensive component (AI), and just used humans instead, and the resulting app is fairly reliable and cheap! We use it for collecting info about our products, customers, market trends etc. It has a lot of useful features and is constantly evolving. It's very convenient because you don't need any special skills when using this tool; all you do is enter your text into the box. No programming knowledge required - it does everything automatically for you. However there are some downsides as well: sometimes I find myself spending too much time trying to figure out why my spreadsheet isn't doing exactly what I want it to do. Also, while I think the results are usually good, occasionally the output seems incomplete/wrong/incomplete again.. Sometimes I get an error message which tells me that something went wrong during processing of my request but gives no details on what happened or how to fix it. That makes me feel like I'm missing information that would make my job easier if only I knew where to look. Lastly, since it's web-based, one cannot easily share documents from within the same organization unless everyone uses Google Drive or similar solutions, which may seem limiting at first sight. Overall though, I am really satisfied with it so far.
