We got these little brushes to use for oiling the iron when we make waffles (about once a month). The brush holds butter or oil much better than the ones with silicone bristles. Since the handle portion is all plastic, there's no rusting when washing. Seems sturdy and there was absolutely no bristle loss. This worked remarkably well during our recent heat wave and wildfire smoke situation. Admittedly it was ideal conditions for evaporative cooling, 85F inside, but humidity from 49 to 55% and I could sit in front of of a fan. The towel where it was still wet and in the breeze was always cool to the touch.
