Economical and durable.
I have been using these filters in various places for many years. Buying replacement filters in packs of 4 is a huge saving over filters in a pack. Activated carbon filter elements effectively remove chlorine and chlorine compounds as well as other organic odors/flavors (e.g. algae). I perceive the taste/smell of water. when the filter needs to be replaced, rather than the rated capacity of the filter, as the lifespan depends on the quality of the water supply. These filters do not remove dissolved inorganic compounds such as salts, calcium and magnesium compounds (main components of hard water), etc.
