If you are new to DE wet shaving, this blade set is worth trying. At 15 cents a blade, this sampler offers enough different brands to help you determine which offer the best shave. Wet shavers have learned that a combination of preshave, shaving soap, blades and safety razors can determine what gives them a close, comfortable shave without irritation. Additionally, some blade brands offer more shaves than others. For example, I can only get 2 close shaves with the Treet blade, while the Astra or Wilkinson Sword blades give me 3 to 5 comfortable shaves.
