Not the best remote I've ever used. Bought to replace what was lost. He controls a not-so-great TV, so they should definitely be together. It's almost too light and makes it difficult to steer with one hand. It should be placed practically directly in front of the TV. Can be at a distance, but isn't as effective at an acute angle to the TV.
