After the SRS warning light came on on my 2005 Honda Accord I decided to buy it rather than take it to the dealer. Very few scanners read SRS and ABS codes. After doing some research, I concluded that my problem was likely the driver's seat belt buckle switch, and Foxwell's tool confirmed this. You can set up real-time monitoring and I could watch the switch go from buckled to unbuckled and then fail like an open circuit. Note that Honda SRS codes are published in hexadecimal, so their 61-10 code shows up as 97-16 on Foxwell. It took me some time to figure that out. After replacing the buckle/strap assembly I used a code cleaning tool. Although the SRS light will turn off when the problem is resolved, the code will remain until cleared with a scan tool. My only complaint was that the online update process wasn't obvious. The instruction manual that came with it seems to be for an earlier version. After poking around their website for a while, I finally found some updated instructions that were good enough.
