doing it yourself. Seems easier to just toss the $25 I wasted on this thing and get a Sony. Let's start with the fact that the CD player often has problems reading CDs, for example, it turns off with an ER (Error) sign. When it is then played, a constant clicking sound can be heard as something in the mechanism is visibly rubbing as the CD spins. The volume control is broken and related to the problem of the CD, since its failure depends on the volume setting. The clicking is louder than the music. The quality control that goes into this thing is non-existent and RCA should be ashamed of gluing their good name to something so horrid. dr Richard Beck, Carbondale, Illinois.
