When I tried to pour this glue on my son's 500 piece jigsaw puzzle, it didn't slip out of the bottle even after being shaken and hit like a Heinz ketchup bottle. Instead, a drop of glue got stuck in the bottle, like a bottle of cement paste left open overnight. My son was so eager to keep his puzzle that I scooped the glue out of the bottle with a butter knife. ! The glue was the consistency of a Crisco can and didn't spread as easily as other glues I've used in the past. My son really had to turn it into puzzle pieces. We used 3/4 bottles to cover a 500 piece jigsaw puzzle. The instructions state that one bottle can cover two 1000-piece puzzles. I very much doubt it will adequately cover a single 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle given the consistency of the adhesive.
