beautiful and quite intense

it is much more difficult than one might assume in other reviews. You have to cut and assemble many, many parts! But when is it ready? Good

Pros
  • beautiful
Cons
  • there are defects

The price of goods is too high for this size.

Firstly it is too expensive and secondly the pieces are so small that you can hardly hold them to cut them. They don't have a color-coded chart. However, everything is included and all you need is water. Not for a child I guess.

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Best Fun Project in Mosaic

I've always loved elephants so I really liked this one. I was a little intimidated by the need to break rocks - I just used a hammer and did my best. It wasn't as difficult as I thought. Notice how the bottom green bricks looked black. So, before I found out, I used some turquoise/green stones. There weren't many of them but I didn't have enough turquoise/green ones, use them wisely and don't throw away the pieces until the end!

Pros
  • Useful for more than its intended purpose
Cons
  • Clarity

Fun Craftable Project

Update: We've started this and it's not all work, it's fun! Definitely a good project for the summer holidays. We also bought a second set for $10 from Revain stock, which is a much cheaper price. My 7 year old mostly needs help cutting parts. It's very small, which you can tell by its size. So it's my fault. Parts are connected by water. Not many colors as shown in the picture. Basically it is white and 3 different blue colors. The picture is glued to thin plywood. I don't even think you can…

  • Gorgeous Construction

Some useful tips

I really enjoy working with this mosaic but when I started I had some problems. I would suggest you practice with a few tiles to determine how long to leave them in the water. I watched the video and it showed them lowering the tiles very quickly and then laying them on the board. I started like this, left it overnight and the next day when I turned it over, 30-40 tiles fell off. Also, if you submerge the tile for too long, you will lose some of the adhesive on the tile. Also, I've found that…

Difficult but worth it

I bought these in early February to give my daughter a Valentine's Day present. It's October now and I just finished lol. I've never crafted with tiles that small, and I found it tedious but relaxing at the same time. I was only able to work with it in a jiffy because it takes a lot of time to make it look really good. correct positions. Tweezers are a must because it's impossible to use your fingers for such small tiles. Holding each tile with tweezers, I dip the backing in a small bowl of…

An exciting project that rewards patience and attention to detail.

I really liked the mosaic set. This was my first attempt at mosaic since elementary school when tiles were made of thick paper glued on with a glue stick. but tiles that need to be pinched to fit into place. They call the surface magical because you dip the back of the tile in water and put it back in place and it dries solid. I have a feeling the potion used is probably gum arabic or clear wallpaper paste or slime, but it works well. You can clear it by moving and rewet the tiles. A drop of…
