Difficult but worth it

I bought these in early February to give my daughter a Valentine's Day present. It's October now and I just finished lol. I've never crafted with tiles that small, and I found it tedious but relaxing at the same time. I was only able to work with it in a jiffy because it takes a lot of time to make it look really good. correct positions. Tweezers are a must because it's impossible to use your fingers for such small tiles. Holding each tile with tweezers, I dip the backing in a small bowl of water and place it on the board. When the tile was perfectly laid, I pressed on it with the tip of a pair of tweezers to make sure it was secure. The tile will slip and fall off if you don't wet and press it enough. In this case, you can simply re-wet the backing and place it back on the board. Note that large edge tiles absorb moisture well and will not adhere well unless you soak them in water for a few seconds. The hardest part is cutting the tiles to the shape and size you want. Also, some tiles are the same color on the front and back, so you need to make sure the shiny part is facing up. In my opinion, these mosaic tile sets are not for children. They require a lot of time, patience and skill. For an adult this can be fun and relaxing and very rewarding when you see the finished product. As seen in the photo, I bought a small easel for my daughter to show. I've already ordered 3 more sets so will be busy for a while :-)
