Fun and Experimentation

This little photo editor is designed for kids as shown by the bear face on the printer. It's pretty easy to use if you're mobile savvy. I've tried this on both plain paper and stickers. Both give similar results. The sticker paper is non-removable, which means once it's stuck it stays there forever. The image quality is "good", not professional at all. No ink, just thermal. The result is a black and white image. By black and white I mean "a bit", not greyscale. A bit means the pixels are either on (one) or off (none). Any gray you see is made up of grouped pixels and is grainy. not as smooth as in the photo. The child probably won't notice, but most adults will. You should be happy with that if you're thinking of buying one. The width of the prints matches the thickness of the paper, which is approximately 1 3/4 inches. You can get a bigger printout by rotating your phone photo 90ยบ. My sample prints are enlarged 2x so graininess is visible. I think that images with good contrast (lots of light and shadow) print better than low-contrast images. Connecting a mobile phone was easy and quick. No problem. My conclusion is that this little printer is great for non-critical images. No ink is used so there is no mess, which is perfect for adventurous kids. low resolution photos, grainy and grayscale. For me this is "experiment". For a little more, you can get an ink-based pocket printer that uses instant color printing. The two products are very different, but both produce images. PeriPage refills are cheap, stickers or paper. I like mine for what it is.
