Review on 🔧 Black ZipperMend by Denise Davis

Got one of these to extend the life of my coat. It has lost the zip (it still had a zip on it) but otherwise the coat was in good condition. Installation was easy and quick and it matched my black coat very well, but you could tell by the design that it wouldn't last forever. Specifically, it closes like a clip and then locks, allowing the metal loop to break at the top, right where force is exerted when you pull the zipper up or down. It looks like some competing products work differently and therefore don't have a break right there. Anyway, I didn't expect it to last forever but it was very cheap and matched my coat so I bought it anyway. and was pleasantly surprised to find it lasted 4 months of daily use. Then he fell down, but I didn't notice and lost him. For the price this is a great product. Another review suggested adding a heat shrink cap, which may help even more. But I'm trying for the second time with a different zipper replacement.
