Review on Headphones Audio-Technica ATH-AVC500, black by Mateusz Wodarczyk ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything about the product satisfied me, the price is perfect.

Background. There were never any particular complaints about the sound, the most important indicators were positioning in games and volume. I sat on the Bloody G501 for a long time (I liked the sound in games, really), moved to Cougar Phontum (the most luxurious, softest ear pads), already from them to Audio-Technika. In all models before this, the remote control on the wire always failed. Therefore, having bought a Deshman capacitor on Ali, I decided to look for adequate headphones without a remote control and with a strong cable. I stumbled upon the ATH-AVC500 by accident in some reviews and realized what I wanted. I didn't make a mistake. Outcome. I use ATH-AVC500 in conjunction with a cheap Asus Xonar DGX. Goals: remote work (many negotiations) and games, of course, both online and single-player shooters. Headphones sufficiently allow you to navigate in battle and distinguish the direction of the sound (here, of course, there is a merit of the sound card on custom drivers). They perfectly cut off external noise, which is why I constantly piss my wife off by asking questions. Ideal headphones in this price segment, but require additional mandatory investments, at least for a sound card. The only downside to the headphones is the ear pads. I use mine for half a year, I bought it at the beginning of July 2022, and my strength is gone, I ordered a thick and soft replacement for Ali. After Cougar Phontum, which wrapped the ears in the softest eco-leather, the ATH-AVC500 tries to break your skull in an hour of wearing. Keep in mind when buying that most likely you will also encounter this.

Pros
  • Good sound, long and strong cable, quality and price.
Cons
  • Absolutely disgusting ear pads that will your ears first, and then the whole head.
