I liked that I could wet it when it was extra hot to cool my son down. It was perfect for him, he liked the function of the peak as his other hats kept falling off his head and was more of a nuisance than helpful to him just to hold them. This hat completely solved that problem, and I liked that I didn't have to worry because I knew it still had the tear-off feature so it wouldn't get clogged by the belt.
