Oh my god how could I ever live without this! For years we've climbed stairs or kneeled on countertops to swap out our vanity lamps, but we've decided we no longer need to put ourselves at risk by doing so. As a consequence (since we don't want anyone entering the house during CoVid) we had two lightbulbs and faced the prospect of a completely dark bathroom. This lamp replacement mast arrived in a very basic location a few hours ago. and a crumpled box (I was so concerned that I photographed it before opening it). Figuring out how to lengthen it was completely intuitive, but I needed instructions (HIDDEN!) to figure out when and how to use the rope. I went into the bathroom, put a towel on the counter "just in case", and used a cleaning cloth to clean the two lightbulbs, then I removed the cloth and carefully followed the instructions to remove the two burned out lightbulbs and do with it ! I cleaned my only spare bulb, steamed it lightly, attached the cable, vacuumed out the new bulb and put it in as instructed. WOW - very quick and easy! I turned off the suction with the cord, folded the pole and put on a rubber band to secure the cord assembly to the pole and placed it in the linen closet. Then I contacted Revane and ordered a new pack of lightbulbs. Can't wait to use it again to replace the last bulb that blew out - it was fun, not a chore!
