Review on πŸš€ Experience Power and Speed with AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Processor by Mateusz Morawski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing for the money, Im glad I chose this option.

In terms of price / performance ratio, the processor has no equal (except perhaps the R5 1600). I was very pleased with the bundled cooler, I did not expect such speed from it. Vishera also came with boxed coolers, but this is heaven and earth - the new Wraith is not only efficient, but also does not make noise, which was the sin of the old coolers. A nice bonus is the RGB backlight, which is synchronized with the motherboard and, in general, a nice appearance of the cooling system. Not particularly useful, but pleasing to the eye. In games, everything flies with a 1080Ti . they say that the frames with it are less than with products from Intel, but I don’t have the habit of playing with the frame counter constantly on, otherwise I don’t feel any discomfort. I often bring home to finish the work - heavy CorelDraw projects (150-500 MB with a large number of raster objects) and Photoshop, it is a pleasure to work with this processor in such programs! In general, an excellent solution for your money, if you get a little confused with overclocking, BUT (if you consider the percentage exclusively in a gaming solution, you should think about purchasing an i5 or i7 of the eighth generation, especially since there you get the maximum result out of the box. Online -games with an emphasis on the performance of one or more cores (CS:GO, WorldofTanks, Warface, etc.) CoffeeLake is a must have!

Pros
  • 1) Performance; 2) Price; 3) Low heat generation; 4) Complete set; 5) Solder between heat distributing cover and die
Cons
  • 1) Overclocking restrictions; 2) Unlike Intel, there is no omnivorous memory (it will work, but by default it will start at 2133 MHz, and the performance of this CPU significantly depends on the speed of the memory); 3) Follows from the first point, but still, dry performance per core is lower than that of a competitor. Yes, with the same frequency, the difference is leveled, but no one will deliberately reduce the frequencies of the 7700 or 8700 to 3.7-3.9 GHz.
