Great headlights after solving some problems

I wrote a review about this a while ago but wanted to rewrite it after owning 3 of these headlights for several months and solving some problems with Neewer. Support. It's a long story, but to recap, here are the problems and solutions: 1.) With the first two lightbulbs I bought, I found that the ball socket could never be tightened enough to accommodate the to hold lightbulbs securely in place. The bushing kept slipping no matter how hard I tried to tighten the thumbscrew. Upon closer inspection, I found that the thumbscrews on mine were designed so that the actual screw was short enough for the plastic handle to hit the blue metal bracket before it was fully tightened. They FELT tight but the ball kept slipping. I contacted Neewer support and they immediately sent me two new thumbscrews with longer threads, which are actually tightened correctly. This thumbscrew seems to have gone through several design iterations. 2.) All three lamps had LEDs that failed after a short period of use. The failure mode was when an LED went out near the edge, overloading adjacent LEDs. With two lamps this happened in about an hour of use, with the other in just a few minutes. I was able to return a Revain but the other two were purchased elsewhere and outside the return window. Luckily Neewer customer service sent me return shipping labels to their New Jersey office, I sent two others back and they sent me two new units with reassurances that they had no more bad LED issues. Two new headlights have arrived (with a new and improved thumbscrew) and I can confirm that after a few hours of continuous use they have had no problems. Same goes for the third case bought from Revain. Also, the cases of the first two had zippers that failed on first use. They also seem to have been improved on newer devices. I suspect this product had some issues with early modules, but Neewer seems to have pretty much solved them. If anyone reading this encounters any of these faulty LEDs or bad thumbscrew issues, I can say I've had a great experience with Neewer support. I only communicated via email but they were friendly and eager to resolve any issues. Now to the lights themselves. I also have a couple of Litepanels Astra EP daylight LED panels which are widely used in TV and film but I really like these little Neewer lights for specific purposes. Yes, the handles on the back feel a little flimsy, but my goodness, these things put out a lot of light. If you have both daylight and tungsten LEDs at full power, you get a nice stream of very bright ambient light from a compact fixture (i.e. with diffusers installed). I also like the swivel mount on Neewers. The ball joint design allows me to quickly switch this light from horizontal to vertical depending on what I'm shooting. This is great for some types of close-ups. Overall, having solved the above issues, I'm quite happy with these headlights.
