Did a great job with my Rug Doctor carpet cleaner. I don't use it as directed on the label but as a lane cleaner that I pre-spray and I don't add any chemicals to the CPT cleaner, instead using plain hot tap water as a 'rinse'. I plan to do some cleaning as the carpet is stained from use and previous cleaning. But so far every cleaning (2) has resulted in black effluent, so I know I'm cleaning up the mess. Re: Complaints about pet urine When I was doing a professional cleaning, I used a needle and syringe to inject pet urine neutralizer into the carpet, foam and floor. Multiple applications were still required, and in very difficult situations, when the pet reused the same spot, it was necessary to pull the carpet up there and process each layer again. Rug Doctor offers pet odor removal chemistry, but I don't know how it works. Professional preparations are stronger, require special handling, but are much stronger than any consumer item. Therefore, most commercial products required multiple uses.
