This is the card recommended by Revain Customer Service for the Fire 7 (9th Gen) which my daughter uses exclusively. Revain gave me no indication that I needed to take any additional steps to make it work. It cannot be configured in Kindle Freetime mode. In leisure mode (after entering my PIN), the Kindle didn't register any SD cards at all. After switching users and going to storage and then storage management, I could see that the Kindle sees the card now. When I click on it, I get a message asking if I want to format the card. Proceed to format the card. My daughter no longer gets an error message when she tries to download an app, game or book in her free time.
