The computer is easy to set up and start, you just plug it in and the computer does the rest for you. The screen is a great size for the small office we have in our apartment and perfect for school work and the hobbies my husband and I have. The keyboard is cheap and only works when it wants to, sometimes you have to double-tap. keys or really break them to make it work. Same goes for the mouse, cheap cheap cheap. You think that when you spend that much money on a computer, you get better accessories, especially HP. Windows 8 is annoying and downright ridiculous, but that has nothing to do with the computer itself. I'm frustrated that there isn't at least one Microsoft Office trial, now I'm spending another full pocket to get that. In general this is a good computer. It will do the trick, but eventually I'll have to buy something else to get everything I really need. I also had to get a replacement as the first one I ordered wouldn't turn on. This was a HUGE inconvenience and very unexpected from the HP brand, definitely upset about it.
