I have a problem with the ball joint. No matter how much I tightened it, it moved pretty freely. I didn't feel like my phone (iPhone 12 Pro Max) was secure in the mount as the ball joint allows for movement. My phone didn't stay in the same position and buckled every time I hit a bump. This made it difficult to view information on the phone while driving. I stopped my bike ride and removed the phone from the mount fearing the phone would fall out. I would not recommend this product as the ball joint is unstable and not reliable. I was also concerned that the rubber straps were too tight for my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I could see the phone buckling as the rubber bands wrapped around the phone. I followed the instructions exactly. I used orange tape and attached the long end to the top. Although the iPhone Pro Max is listed as suitable for this mount, I doubt it. Bending the phone in the mount is not recommended and may damage the phone.
