12/2020: I have matte black. 4/6 bar. I was nervous about the heating temp based on previous reviews. I've been buying a heated towel rail for a few months and took a chance despite random reviews. I should have listened to the feedback. I immediately unpacked and plugged it in to make sure it even got warm. Warm up after 20 minutes. After an hour it feels hot. The towel just doesn't get warm. I tried folding it differently by pulling it through the wands. I've been messing around with this thing for two days. For $250, I'm not happy with just a "somewhat warm in places" towel. I wanted it to work. sad to be back
