Review on πŸ›€ Revitalize and Relax with Yumeguri's Japanese Hot Spring Bath Powders - 18 Packs (30g Each) by Kevin Miller

Cheap bath powders, scents ok, overall ok

I bought this product a few days ago and tried each of the four different powders so I decided to write this review. So I've been to Japan and bought bath powder from the local stores a couple of times. While I've never seen this particular powder pack at Family Mart or 7-Eleven, this product isn't all that different from what I've tried there. Several people point out that this is a Chinese product and not Japanese; that's not an entirely correct statement. The packaging specifically says it's made in China, but if you go to the company's website, you can clearly see that it's a Japanese company that makes all kinds of household products, including this one. Although it may be made in China, it is a Japanese product. So to the powders themselves. I started with purple first. To be honest I was a bit overwhelmed by how strong the smell was and it definitely lingered in my bathroom for hours after I was done. Of the 4 scents, purple is definitely the strongest. Someone noticed that the scents kind of reminded them of cheap bathroom items. I agree, that's why I deducted 1 star. Let's be honest, this product isn't very expensive, and when I bought it I wasn't expecting a real onsen (the onsen I went to didn't have any flavored water at all, just hot water and a big bucket of salt to dry me off). Other than that, this product met my expectations. I would advise anyone buying these powders to get your bath nice and hot, add 1 sachet and then just leave on for 10-15 minutes to let go of the strong smell. Then soak for a good 30 minutes to get the full effect. The powders left my skin soft and lightly scented, but not overly perfumed. Would I buy them again? May be. Aside from what I've tried in Japan that I can't find here in the States, I haven't tried any other bath powders, so I'm planning on buying a few others to see which ones I prefer. most. In short, I have no plans to buy again in the near future, but I'm not ruling it out either. Either way, they make bathing enjoyable even if they smell cheap.
