This little tea strainer is just magical! Even with finer blends, it is unlikely that a single tea leaf will slip away. I have a tea bag that I couldn't use because it had a kind of 'dusty' consistency and kept seeping through my last brewer, but I no longer have this problem! It takes a bit of force to open and close, but after I managed it the first time, it hasn't been a problem since. It's really easy to clean - just detach the top and rinse! In my experience, the tea infuser holds about 2 teaspoons of tea leaves (or a little more if you don't mind it expanding upwards). I usually use around 3 teaspoons when making a large thermos, so my teas were a little less flavorful for this reason, but that's less of a criticism of the product and more of a personal preference. If you are making a regular or even large cup of tea, this is the perfect size!
