Review on Ducks Unlimited Season Merino X Large by Joe Montalvo

I wear them for ducks and deer all season and love everything about them. I wish I had bought more pairs a few months ago when they were cheaper. They are heavy and durable and wear well this hunting season. What I like best is that they sit over the shin and don't ride up in my boots and waders like some of my hunting socks. The elastic part that wraps around the calf stays tight and snug on my foot even after numerous socks and washes and they are very warm with a high wool content. I love them and plan to buy more when the price goes down in the summer. I used to only wear Cabelas Ultimate wool socks but they seem to have phased them out. This was the length of the carriage so they were often stripped off during the hunt, but they are very warm. They feel just as warm, but fit and hold even better than my perfect wool socks. These have become my new favorite hunting socks. They also do a great job of wicking moisture away from your feet. So much so that I didn't even wear insoles underneath and my feet stayed dry. I love them in their current configuration and will buy more.
