After changing jobs I can finally grow my facial hair and I've been in that awkward phase where people can say you don't shave but your beard isn't very developed yet. I wanted something to keep loose hair in a line and soften my beard. He does both. I love the scent, but not everyone likes cedar (subtle but you can definitely smell it). My beard is softer too. I will say that the consistency is much more complex than I expected. It's not bad, but I expected more from a gel or a softer balm. You really have to rub your fingers to get it, which is a good thing because this little jar will last a long time. It also makes overuse more difficult, the idea being not to soak the beard with gel. Anyway I love it I use it every day I will buy it again.
