Review on Cable Matters 3 Outlet Wall Mount Surge Protector with USB Dual Port 2.1 Amp Charging: Power and Charging Convenience for Multiple Devices by Jeff Jackson

USP ports allow you to easily charge both your tablet and mobile phone overnight

I have had this surge protector for over 10 months now. I was looking for a flat surge protector for my kitchen phone. The two USB ports are an additional feature to optimize the use of sockets in my kitchen. USP ports can easily charge both tablet and cellphone overnight. I also switched Fitbit trackers. There is a slight humming noise when charging USB devices. The indicator light at the top indicates that the device offers surge protection. This lantern also has a shelf for a small cell phone and can be used as a night light. The power consumed by the light is less than what I was able to measure with the Kill A Watt tester, but the light output is much less than a 0.3w night light. The only complaint I have is that the USP ports are on the front. Surge protector so the wires stick out and a longer cable is needed to get to the mobile phone above the surge protector. I would have liked the USB ports to be on the side to avoid getting tangled in cables.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Weight
