The sound is of very good quality and when connected to an active subwoofer it is even a great alternative to a smaller home cinema system optionally for even more, better achievable high-resolution 3D sound 🆙 Great. To hook up an old style powered subwoofer, in case anyone wants to try it that way, with 1 speaker wire into the subwoofer input, the red and black terminals on the left, an active receiver is typically plugged into that input and then out to speakers , but since the left speaker was supposed to be powered by the right speaker, I also connected the left speaker to the subwoofer to get it working properly and flawlessly. I am using a Polk Audio 10" powered subwoofer in case you are wondering which psw10 powered subwoofer is crisp and clear. A good choice instead of a soundbar. HD sound is more accurate when connected to an Ultra HD source to play music.
