Review on Zojirushi CD WCC40 Boiler Warmer Silver by Ralph Foster

I wanted to wait a bit before checking. I used to have a well established kettle with a stainless steel tank. While the boiler worked well, the tank was always heavily scaled from my well water and was difficult to keep clean. When it finally failed, I knew I wanted to try the coated Zojirushi kettle, even though it cost almost twice as much. I was hoping there would be fewer scaling issues with the coating. After almost a year of use I can confirm that the tank does not have the same scale problem as the stainless steel tank and is much easier to clean. It has some chipping and discoloration as seen in others' photos, but nowhere near as bad as it used to be. I hope this cauldron will last for many years and I am expecting one by the Zojirushi name.
