I've been drooling over this flameless candle for YEARS! Originally developed for use in Disney theme parks and the Haunted Mansion attraction, it was eventually marketed under the Lumineer (or something like that) name. I first saw this technology in an expensive furniture store about 12 years ago. The price was crazy! About twenty times more expensive than they cost. These flameless electronic candles are beautiful. The flame looks very realistic. You have to be right above them to know it's not real. The remote control is great. Being able to turn them on and off or set a timer is very handy. Acrylic cylinders are crystal clear. Plastic "wax" inserts look very realistic. I was a bit surprised to see that each one requires THREE AA batteries. But given that they work with an electromagnetic action activator AND an LED for hours, I understand. The battery compartment was a bit tricky. You have to do it "just right" to close it. Overall I am very happy with these flameless candles. I am very satisfied, now I finally have what I have admired for years. But I always found it too expensive. Excellent purchase.
