I ordered three sets of candles in different styles and this was the only one that looked very cheap. Once I unwrapped the first candle, I repacked it and sealed the box for a quick return. In my opinion it was that bad. If you're looking for a candle set that looks realistic, be sure to check out Mirrowing's 5 Piece Gold Set. I ordered 2 sets of these (along with this set and another for comparison) and not only kept them but also ordered 2 more sets!

Unfortunately I only had to give this item one star as I haven't had time to use it YET as the instructions are misspelled. The instructions say 2 AA batteries for each candle I received. When I went to put them in, they didn't fit because it turned out they actually needed 3 AAA batteries. Pooh! From what I understand these candles are amazing, but I won't know until I spend more money on the RIGHT batteries. Just do your research before you go and DO NOT follow the instructions.

This is fantastic for the price! I don't understand why anyone would pay $50 or more for a Lumima candle. Of course, they look best and most realistic when it's dark. But I always find myself blowing them out :) The perfect ambiance maker to use for Adele anywhere. The "glass" is plastic, but take good care of it and don't scratch it. That's very nice! The candle is enclosed in a plastic tube that is an inch taller than the candle. The plastic flame moves in the middle and gives the impression of a real flame. The board works great! There are four times to choose from - 2, 4, 6 and 8 hours. I choose 8 hours before bed so I can't tell if the time is right, but they don't work in the morning. Originally developed for use in Disney theme parks and the Haunted Mansion attraction, it was eventually marketed under the Lumineer (or something like that) name.
