I bought this for my Uniden SDS100. I live in the mountains and most of the services work in the 150MHz band. I received very few calls using the stock Uniden 800MHz antenna. Sometimes the call violated the squelch and the signal strength was -100dBm or less. With this antenna I hear a lot of calls with a signal strength of -80 to -85 dBm. That's a massive 15 dBm improvement, maybe more. The antenna is longer, about 18 inches, than the stock antenna, but for lower frequencies you need longer antennas!
